When Treepoints first came to us, they thought their website needed a redesign. Having built their climate startup’s website on Bubble, we were the natural partners to turn to.
However, Treepoints had also recently released an MVP for their carbon offset app. As such, they were mulling over options for how to improve their product. In truth, their current app had several issues to address, relating both to the design and the technical sides.
At first glance, it appeared to them that they needed to code the app. However, it would be an endeavor that would take more time and resources than they had available.
After speaking with our team at Tinkso, they realized that they could cut down development time significantly if we revised and expanded their product in Bubble. They just needed our product-building expertise to bring the update to fruition.
One of the most important functions of their app was to serve the B2B side.
By subscribing to one of Treepoints’ plans, businesses could offset carbon emissions. Essentially, their smart calculator would tell users how many trees they would need to plant to neutralize their emissions.
The core idea was solid, and Treepoints gained some initial traction. However, that wouldn’t be enough if they wanted to become a serious company. One that businesses could place their faith in to meet carbon neutrality objectives.
Thus, we set about professionalizing their entire app.
From a technical point of view, we needed to improve things like security and performance. On the other hand, we also redesigned and rebranded the whole app. We even redesigned their logo.
This meant Treepoints had the full weight of our team behind them.
One of the most important things for a new startup to do to gain leverage is to iterate on existing feedback from their users.
We put each feature from their MVP into question. We investigated everything about their app both from an an analytics and anecdotal user feedback perspective. If necessary, we cut out the dead weight by deleting products. Conversely, we upgraded or added certain features as we saw fit.
In only 4 weeks, we helped Treepoints launch their new product. And the positive feedback was almost instant. They launched on Product Hunt, garnering 356 upvotes. Moreover, they earned a mention from Forbes.
By the end, we transformed a scrappy indie startup into a full-fledged business that could compete in the market.
We couldn’t have done it so quickly without Bubble. We already had the infrastructure ready to build their app with our openBuild framework. Combining that with our design and technical expertise, giving Treepoints a facelift was easy.
As a result, we’re proud to say that they succeeded in their goal of attracting initial investors.
