Every year, hundreds of families pick up their belongings and move to the other side of the world with GlobeRelo.
To ensure the security of every element involved, they have dozens of internal processes to make every big move run without a hitch. One mistake at the wrong moment can cause massive downstream consequences in the client’s day-to-day life.
The problem wasn't just that each process was disconnected, it was also that employees had to waste time managing them. Imagine the stress of knowing how badly a mistake could impact your clients
After discussions with us, it was clear GlobeRelo needed a platform to connect all these disparate processes before a serious accident could occur.
Thus, we set about constructing Reelo, a web application that merges all these business processes together. Every aspect of GlobeRelo’s workflows that was segmented in the past became connected directly to their portal via a suite of integrations.
First of all, we took all the siloed tools, from notebooks and surveys to invoices and customs reports, and deciphered the best way to add them to a single user-friendly platform. This wasn’t easy, but it was only a matter of time before we solved it with our design thinking.
Then, we focused on some of the meta tasks that help improve GlobeRelo’s overall performance.
Within Reelo, every move has its own associated tasks, milestones, and reports that are unique to it. Our system notifies key stakeholders of critical events too.
This boosts employee efficiency dramatically and gives them an accurate snapshot of their progress.
On the client side, Reelo provides real-time insights on the move via their customer dashboard. It was a great way to reduce the amount of questions that GlobeRelo’s team needed to answer. Plus, it makes the customer feel more involved in their own moving process.
Across the organization, the transition from paper-based to digital has yielded new perspectives.
Scaling has become a lot faster with Reelo. Onboarding new employees is much easier when you don’t have to give them a hundred different things to remember lest all their logistics collapse.
Instead, employees can focus on customer relations over operations management. It’s to GlobeRelo’s advantage to concentrate on the front-facing part of their service. After all, that’s what gives them their reputation. Handling logistics is just the bare minimum.
